Our Parish Faith Formation offers sessions for children in grades one through six, including Sacramental Preparations (First Holy Communion and Confirmation). Through age-appropriate lessons, prayer, Scripture and activities, children are introduced to the teachings of the Church and the love of Jesus. They learn the foundations of our Catholic faith, the importance of prayer, moral values, their knowledge of the Bible encouraging them to live their faith in daily life. It is of vital importance that, even after receiving the Sacraments of Initiation, our children continue to deepen their faith and their love for Jesus. Sessions are available on site at St. Joseph in Elk Grove as well as at our Mission Church of St. Vincent de Paul in Rancho Murieta. With the help of gracious volunteers from our parish family, weekly sessions (Tuesday and Wednesday) are offered in English and (Friday) Spanish in St. Joseph, Elk Grove and every Sunday after Mass in our Mission Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Rancho Murieta. The sessions run on a traditional school year calendar.
Beyond just getting the sacrament, we invite you and your family to get to know our parish by joining us for the celebration of the Eucharist at the Mass of your choice. We hope that you find our parish as one family and one community having the same faith where you can begin or continue a vibrant faith and spiritual life, where you choose to bring your children to learn more about the faith that you live each day and where you seek to get involved.
